What The?

For those of you who are expecting their Wednesday dose of Father's Nature Corner, it's my sad duty to inform you that what we have here is a failure to communicate.

Specifically, a failure of the memory to communicate with the brain to produce an insightful and slightly thought provoking post. The reason for this epic failure to communicate is really simple and incredibly basic.

Lack of sleep the previous night.

In my household, the worst arguments usually take place late at night, when I need my beauty sleep so that I can be a functioning unit at work. Suffice to say, it didn't happen, so not only were we NFU at work, but we were pretty much NFU at home as well.

Thus, what we have here, is a post that was hammered out at 6:49a (yes, I know the time on the post says 9:49a, but I always schedule my posts for later in the day) on Wednesday June 18th that says absolutely nothing. And in keeping with that spirit of saying absolutely nothing (no, no Seinfeld, can't stand his comedy), we have Mr. Rogers.

Have a truly fantastic Hump Day no matter what you might be doing today to occupy your time.

  1. You know, why is those arguments take place at night when both parties are too tired to make sense anyway?

  2. Alex: I wish I really knew. About all I can say is that I'm very tired of being collateral damage in these things.

  3. Hope you make up and get some sleep. soon!

  4. I love that mix of Mr Roberts? He's great ....Never seen him before .... We had HOW! .... these 3 guys who explained all sorts of stuff when we were kids ... of course it was said with an American accent and a big chief Indian sort of voice .. which made it all the more fabulous in a child's mind :)

usually it's last thing before bed talk about work in this house, just as the light's are going off ...then my mind works all night and gets no rest ..it's flipping annoying ... nothing gets achieved...

I hope it all worked itself out in the light of day and you got a better night's sleep last night.

  5. Debbie: Fortunately it wasn't between myself and my wife. It was other family members who decided that 11p was a good time to start arguing.

M: It definitely does, that's for sure.

Fil: Mr. Rogers was the absolute best. I would watch him as an adult and the man is such a pop culture icon that he is one of the few people that everyone still respects across the spectrum.

Everything eventually did as I later found out after calling home around lunchtime from work, but to tell you the truth, I really hate when things like that happens because it usually has a domino effect on the rest of my day.

These days, the written word is to die for, so please leave a comment that shows me and everyone else the real you. All kinds of verbiage will be cheerfully accepted in the spirit it was written.
