I Are Not Here

That's right folks, I are not here today. In fact, I will be taking a very short hiatus, which is directly due to having the first of two non-cosmetic laser surgeries performed on my eye. I will be more or less, blind as a activist that believes that only one certain type of life matters and everyone else is cannon fodder.

With that cheery thought leaving a bitter taste on the tongue (much like Jenner getting blowback because Jenner doesn't believe in gay marriage on the tongues of Hollywood gay rights activists), I leave you with one of my favorite bluegrass songs from one of my favorite bluegrass shows, which can be found on WWUH.

I shall see (hopefully) everyone on Thursday. Also, comments won't be processed until Wednesday night, so don't be alarmed if you don't see anything for verbiage.

  2. I've been thinking about having cosmetic laser surgery...but I now have dry eye, so I'm probably not a candidate anymore. Hope you're all healed up soon!

  4. Thanks everyone for you get-well wishes.

For a two hour appointment, that actual surgery took about seven to ten minutes or so to perform. Not overly thrilled with the pain (sort of like getting an EKM done), nor with the dilated eye for a good chunk of Monday (yeah, it was a bright sunshiny day Monday). Still got a little blurriness, but that's to be expected.

Personally, I don't know about the cosmetic aspect of it, but if that's something you want to do in order not to wear glasses/contacts, then I would suggest going for it.

And not being able to read or do much of anything was definitely a turn off. But, as it was a major necessity to keep what little sight I got, it was a good trade-off.

    1. Very much so. But it will kick back in another week when I go to my 2nd session.

These days, the written word is to die for, so please leave a comment that shows me and everyone else the real you. All kinds of verbiage will be cheerfully accepted in the spirit it was written.
