Seriously, What It Is?

So here we is and as Steve Martin would say in a classic SNL skit, "What the hell is that?"

To answer, "What the hell is that?", we bring in the mighty Professional Professor Po-Po. Professor Po-Po is the professional expert that we bring in when we want to make a point sound very IMPORTANT. And oh, look! Shiny!

As I was saying, when I want to sound officious and IMPORTANT, I bring in a professional, because having a professional by your side makes you look IMPORTANT, and wait a minute! Shinier!

Like I was saying, I am a busy man, and I don't have times for things like research and development, so I pay some seriously small bucks for a professional, and wait just one gosh-darn minute! Shiniest!

Once again, G.B.'s muse makes an appearance, and after waving a manicured hand in front of his face, wheels him out of the den, sticks him in the corner, puts a Dick & Jane primer in his hands and strolls back to the den and sits in front of the computer.

Carefully typing away on the keyboard by using her fingernail tips, she writes the following:

"Sometimes, ya just gotta start a blog post with cliches, which in this case I'm here to take the bull by the horns. As you can plainly see, the lovely G.B. got yet again waylaid by the windmills of his mind while writing this post, so I, being the incredibly talented and stunningly attractive character actress, decided to lend a guiding hand.

"What G.B. wanted to say is that he finally found a project that has managed to stick with him. Unlike The Inner Sibling, which stuck with him 24/7, this one is only sticking with him on the weekends. Originally self-published as Betrayed, the new version doesn't have a working title yet beyond the generic Novella 7 (the name of the file on his XP).

"At the moment, he has managed to write and transcribe 2 complete chapters and is well on the way to completing the 3rd. Deviating from  current form, this one doesn't have the intense burst of violence like A Taste Of Pain, but more like the very mild violence you find in The Inner Sibling. And the sex, ahhhhhhhhh, the sex......"

She suddenly goes silent as the memory of what was written so far comes back with a vengeance. A few seconds later, a fingersnap brings her back to the present. Briefly fanning herself, she continues typing.

"Well, hmmm...., the sex, while not completely graphic, is tastefully....ummm....presented to the reader in a way that moves the story along and not for stoppage of play, so to speak. And true to form, it will also be a paranormal/fantasy featuring at least three of the same characters from the original, but with a few new twists added into the mix.

"And that, my good friends, is what he really wanted to write about, not the potentially funny tangent that he started this post out with. Now if you'll excuse, my pet looks like he wants to go out and play for a while, and I did promise that if he behaved himself, I would let him go frolicking. Ta-ta for now!

    1. Quite a bit of progress is being made. It usually translates to roughly 2-3k+ words each weekend.

Might be a bit harder this weekend though, as our local carnival will be in full swing.

    1. Thank you sir.

Yeah, it took a while find a suitable story to work with, since I wasn't able to come up with anything new at the moment.

    1. The definition of said word means going forward with great gusto and completion, although I sometimes wonder if I'm doing it in reverse.

  5. I need my own muse to give me a push back to blogging. Little by little it will occur. Looks like you have been very busy. Good going.
