Structured Chaos The 2nd

Yesiree Bob, I's already switching gears with my blogging schedule. I tell yas, this has to be a first for me, 'cause normally I wait a while before I decide to switch gears and tweak a plan. Anywho, I'm publishing today 'cause I'm hip deep within the recesses of my own mind. Specifically, journeying through uncharted territory that is self-publishing.

Specifically specific, trying to determine what I exactly want my book to look like on the inside. I'm not used to having an semi-infinite amount of choices when it comes interior decorating, so I want to make doubly sure I don't SELECT ADJECTIVE this up (see, see, see, I can be G-rated when necessary!), which means that I'll be twisting myself into a tasty pretzel this week. Now, if you mix in the fact that my new schedule kicks in tomorrow, then you'll know why I'll feel blue without.....Laverne & Shirley.

On the far side of the hill we got momentarily sidetracked on YouTube for oh....35 minutes while doing some...er...some...research, yeah, that's the ticket.

Anywho, over on the dark side (heheheheheheh....), we done published our first post at Father Nature's Mountain. It's not much, but it's a start. I'm pretty sure you can comment on it (I hope) and I so far, I haven't figured out how each post has its own individual url, so until then, when you click on the main link, you'll brought to the main blog page, and if you want to comment there and don't want to through the aggravation of registering (that is, if the anon feature doesn't work), feel to comment here about over there.

And that, my friends, is what's going on so with me. Tune in next week when I'll have tales of brave Ulysses to share with you.

  1. Yeah, that damn You Tube can be a major time suck. It's so easy just to keep going from one to another.

  2. You'll have to take up yoga to un-pretzel yourself.

  3. Debra: And how. All I was doing was looking for a couple short video clips, then next thing I know, I'm watching videos featuring The Seekers and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Alex: Believe it or not, I used to do a few yoga positions back in the day.

  4. I couldn't even open comments here yesterday, but congrats on the new fling on Tumblr!
Utube is a great time eater...
That link for your new post is "not found" by Chrome today.

  5. Snaggle: Thanks for the heads up. Apparently when I'd set up the link, something else that I had inadvertently copied cropped up in the link box. Thus, when Chrome (and IE for that matter) was faced with two links within the same link, presto! it has a conniption fit. All set now.

  6. I need to go watch Laverne and Shirley again. I was too little to see the innuendo when I watched reruns as a kid. Good luck with the new schedule!

  7. Blogging is getting complicated, huh?

  8. YouTube can be a hazardous time suck, but I guess that's the nature of the internet period.

I've always held to regularly scheduled posting, but of late I've gotten somewhat unpredictable with my posts on Tossing It Out. Makes blogging life a bit more interesting for me when I change things up.

Let me check that Mountain post.

  9. Oh, I see that the new blog is on Tumblr. I think I have a Tumblr blog that I never post to. Couldn't figure out how to comment--never have on Tumblr blogs. Maybe there isn't a way. New things confuse me and I lose patience spending time trying to figure them out.

  10. M: Thanks. Hopefully it will work out for the best.

Lynn: Only on Tumblr. Tumblr is very, very strange when it comes to blogging. It's almost the polar opposite of Blogger. To elaborate further requires a blog post.

Arlee: YouTube is beyond a major time suckage. It's almost like a junkie fix sometimes.

There's sort of a way to comment on Tumblr, but either you need an account (because most people don't do anon) or read a blog that allows anons.

I'll probably post a link to the weekly post here, that way people can still comment w/o the aggravation factor.

  11. I get SO easily distracted when I'm supposed to be working. I have to set limits on myself and force myself to work for a while, promising social media as a reward for staying on track for a period of time!

  12. Stephanie: Thanks for stopping by.

I feel your pain. I literally have to make a public announcement on FB stating that I'm not going to be there for a given day in order to force myself to do what I planned to do.

  13. Too much choice can indeed be a burden on the brain.
