I Too Can So Write: 1/18/17

And thus begins this blog's new purpose in the cyber world: commenting!

A brand new post is up at I Are Writer!, which goes into glorious detail about my novella, The Friendship Has Begun. Please feel free to leave a comment here about it, since Tumblr makes it nigh on impossible to leave one there.

On a lighter note, my daughter took the PSAT's a few weeks ago {I did not know it was a prep test}. Without really studying or trying, she scored an 1120 on it. Says when the real one comes around, she'll put some effort into it.

  1. Good for her! Wow, just think what she'll score when she tries.

    1. She's started getting college brochures, and she's already got a minimum standard in place: any college that allows a GPA of 3.5 or lower(roughly a B) doesn't make the cut.

  2. And since I can't comment on Tumblr - can't come over to the dark side when I am rooting for the other team.

    1. Makes sense. Which is why I set it up like I did. People can read there and comment here.

    1. Thanks. I was trying to shoot for a happy medium between both blogging platforms, and I think that this will be the best of both worlds.

  5. I'm wondering if the story previously explains some consequences to be expected by reasoning minds...

    1. The story? I'm not sure. I think it was simply a few days in the life of a troubled little girl.

  6. 1120? I could do that. Here, hold my beer.

(Just kidding, I'd probably be lucky to score double digits)

Meanwhile, I'm still trying to figure out what grunt erotica is. Also, what's wrong with writing a porn screenplay?

    1. 1} I probably might be able to do that...if I had an open book in front of me.

2} "Grunt erotica" is basically erotica without the convoluted plot mechanisms of a mediocre soap opera (i.e. lawyer has a client who is the gf/bf of a sibling and finds themselves falling in love wit them). The couple are already together in a relationship and find themselves doing an event/occurrence together (in this case, a honeymoon).

3} Absolutely nothing wrong in writing a porn screenplay...so long as it doesn't negatively affect what you're trying to write/sell. Problem is, when you have colleagues who are either conservative or myopic liberals, then anything that even hints at erotica is automatically labeled porn.

These days, the written word is to die for, so please leave a comment that shows me and everyone else the real you. All kinds of verbiage will be cheerfully accepted in the spirit it was written.
